Learn Something New
by Jose Restrepo, Business Systems Analyst

Almost 14 years ago, I started my career at SAFCO. Throughout the years, I have enjoyed learning from the different people who led me, and whom I had the pleasure to lead. One of the best things in this tenure is that I have been able to be part of almost every stage in our business process, from originations, to insurance, to the servicing and collection of our accounts. This has allowed me to gain a great deal of experience, to obtain knowledge on subjects that I never thought I would be exposed to, but most importantly, to understand the way the industry operates and what makes SAFCO a successful company.

Be Recognized and Promoted
by Kim West, Sr. Manager of Quality and Compliance

I love that SAFCO is a “family” type company that is small and close knit. During my time here, I have been very fortunate to literally start at the bottom and work my way up by having supervisors who have noticed my skills and potential and then have given me a chance. It is like that, I believe, throughout the Company. I notice that many team members receive challenge assignments and/or are promoted to other departments/positions because leadership has recognized something in them that they feel would be better used in another capacity. SAFCO is also a Company that does everything possible to promote from within. I truly feel that SAFCO is the best Company I’ve ever worked for, and I have been very fortunate to have the best supervisors throughout my career here. My 5-year anniversary with SAFCO is coming up, and I believe I am where I am meant to be.
